If you would like to submit an article to be considered for publication on So You Call Yourself A Homeschooler, please refer to the guidelines below:
1. Topic must be related to homeschooling and be relevant and engaging to my audience (see topics above).
2. Article must be an original piece, not published anywhere else. Because the article will be published to my blog, if you repost the article, you must include a back link to the original post on my blog. However, you still retain the copyright to your own original work.
3. Absolutely NO affiliate or promotional links within the text.
4. Author must provide a short byline to be included at the end of the article - this is where you'll want to include your blog address(es) and/or website address(es). It is best to keep this 2-3 sentences to keep word count low, but is up to the discretion of the potential guest blogger.
5. Submission length must be between 400-1000 words (this would include photo captions (if any) and author byline - but does not include photo attribution).
6. You may include 5 photos or less - these photos MUST include attribution as I do not retain the copyright to them. The photos must be emailed to me as an attachment - I will embed them and write the proper attribution. Even if the photos are owned by you, you must state that as well. If photos are not properly credited, they will be rejected. You may include a caption for each photo, but these will be included in your word count.
7. The article must be edited (for proper grammar, spelling, etc) and submitted to me in the body of an email - NOT as an attachment in a word processing document.
8. It is up to my discretion whether or not the articles will actually make it to publication. I will, however, do my best to work with the potential guest author to get their work published on my blog, So You Call Yourself A Homeschooler?
9. If article is approved, I will schedule a date and let you know when it is up for publication.
10. If article is not approved, I will email the author to let them know.
Please email your submissions & questions to:

Does one need to be an expert? :)
LOL, I guess I should rephrase it to "experienced" :) So no, just experienced, not an expert! Changing it now :)
